Scheduling is currently happening for next years seniors, juniors, and sophomores. RUNNING START STUDENTS, it is your responsibility to come and get your information to schedule. If you already know your login and password, you can schedule at any time. You can get your login info from the Counseling & Career Center or from the High School front office.

Incoming Freshmen will start on the 13th. Ms. Ploof will be coming to the Middle School and work with the incoming Freshman on entering their schedules in the computer.

STUDENTS & STAFF – The annual plant sale is today from 2:30 – 6:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 – noon in the CHS greenhouse.

JUNIORS/SENIORS – The Junior/Senior prom is on May 17th. It’s in Seattle at pier 55 on “The Spirit of Seattle.” Boarding begins at 9:30 and we sail at 10:00 pm – 1:00 am. Be sure to be there before 10:00 pm so we do not have to come back to the dock. Tickets will be sold at lunch until May 16 for $35 per couple and $20 per single.

SENIORS – Please remember your senior project FINAL PAPER is due before or by Friday, May 16. The paper needs to have references included to lend credibility and authority to your statements.

INTERACT CLUB –All Interact Club members need to be at the general meeting Monday for a group photo and a lovely meeting.

STUDENTS – Auditions for Robert’s charity concert will be after school today. If anyone would like to sign up, please see Robert Wright or call 360-930-1114.

KNOWLEDGE BOWL – All past, present and future Knowledge Bowlers need to meet in Mrs. Schmitt’s room Friday at lunch.

FRESHMEN – All freshmen that have a C or better on their midterm grades will be allowed to watch “I am Legend” May 14th during 6th period.

BASEBALL PLAYERS – The baseball end of season banquet is Tuesday, May 13 at 6:30 in the commons. Bring your uniforms to turn in the night of the banquet.

SOCCER PLAYERS – The soccer banquet is Thursday, May 22, in the CHS commons at 7:00 pm.

SENIORS – Come join the fun by celebrating with your classmates at the Senior Graduation Party. Tickets are on sale now in the office. Cost is $40.00 through May 23. The price increases to $50.00 after that date. It will be a great party with great memories. Don’t get left behind!

HELP WANTED – Chimacum Café is accepting applications for people dedicated through at least September. You can pick up an application any time at the café.

TIP OF THE WEEK – All students must ride home from school-sponsored events such as sports on the school bus or with their parent. We are making an exception on May 17 for district fastpitch and track. Any student going to the prom who is participating on that day and wants to leave with someone other than their parent needs to make arrangements with Mr. Porter or Dr. Meissner by Monday, May 12.

STUDENTS – There are Exploring College Options, student/parent information sessions on Wednesday, May 21 at 7:30 at the Hilton Bellevue, 425-1300. This is for the following universities: Duke, Georgetown, Harvard, Penn and Stanford.

STUDENTS – There is space in Centrum’s week-long high school summer arts intensives, where you’ll be able to pursue your passions in creative writing, dance/video, visual art and drama. Sessions are designed for high-school artists at any level of expertise. It is June 22-27 and has scholarship opportunities to increase participation. STUDENTS – Sunfield Farm has a Teen SOL Project. If you are 15-18 years of age, grow and harvest food on the farm, run a Farmer’s Market stand, care for animals, and be outside! It is on Thursdays and Fridays, 9:00 – 1:00 plus two Farmer’s Market Saturdays. Session 1 is June 26-July 19 and Session 2 is July 24 - August 16. A $300 stipend is offered for completion of session.
