Scheduling is currently happening for next years seniors, juniors, and sophomores. RUNNING START STUDENTS, it is your responsibility to come and get your information to schedule. If you already know your login and password, you can schedule at any time. You can get your login info from the Counseling & Career Center or from the High School front office.
Incoming Freshmen will start on the 13th. Ms. Ploof will be coming to the Middle School and work with the incoming Freshman on entering their schedules in the computer. NOTE: when the current Middle School students go online and get into their information, go to the top center of the page and use the drop down menu to change from middle school to high school, then you will be able to start your schedule for high school.

STUDENTS & STAFF – Friday is an early release day. Thursday and Friday will be 6 period days, not block days. Thursday’s schedule is: 1st period 7:45-8:42, 2nd period 8:46-9:40, 3rd period 9:48-10:42, 4th period 10:46-11:54, lunch 11:54-12:24, 5th period 12:28-1:22, 6th period 1:26-2:20. Friday’s schedule is: 1st period 8:40-9:11, 2nd period 9:15-9:41, 3rd period 9:45-10:11, 4th period 10:15-10:41, 5th period 10:45-11:11, 6th period 11:15-11:50, lunch 11:50-12:10.
STUDENTS – Attention freshmen and sophomore boys: Openings are still available for next year’s 6th grade CISPUS program. Please pick up an application right away if you are interested. Please return your completed application by Friday to the high school office. Contact Mr. Meacham at the middle school if you have any questions.
SENIORS – Port Townsend Paper Corporation is now accepting applications for temporary summer work from students going to college, vocational or trade school in the fall. Applications will be accepted through May 31, 2008. Applications are in the office.

STUDENTS – There is Spring football practice for current 8th – 11th grade students planning to play next season beginning Tuesday, May 27 – Friday, June 6th from 2:45 – 4:45.
JUNIORS/SENIORS – The Junior/Senior prom is Saturday. It’s in Seattle at pier 55 on “The Spirit of Seattle.” Boarding begins at 9:30 and we sail at 10:00 pm – 1:00 am. Be sure to be there before 10:00 pm so we do not have to come back to the dock. Tickets will be sold at lunch until Friday for $35 per couple and $20 per single.
SENIORS – Please remember your senior project FINAL PAPER is due before or by Friday. The paper needs to have references included to lend credibility and authority to your statements.
FRESHMEN – All freshmen that have a C or better on their midterm grades will be allowed to watch “I am Legend” today during 5th and 6th period in the auditorium.
SOCCER PLAYERS – The soccer banquet is Thursday, May 22, in the CHS commons at 7:00 pm.
SENIORS – Come join the fun by celebrating with your classmates at the Senior Graduation Party. Tickets are on sale now in the office. Cost is $40.00 through May 23. The price increases to $50.00 after that date. It will be a great party with great memories. Don’t get left behind!
HELP WANTED – There is a good-paying job for freshmen and sophomores for the summer and next year in Port Townsend. If you are interested, contact Audré Torgerson.
TIP OF THE WEEK – All students must ride home from school-sponsored events such as sports on the school bus or with their parent. We are making an exception on May 17 for district fastpitch and track. Any student going to the prom who is participating on that day and wants to leave with someone other than their parent needs to make arrangements with Mr. Porter or Dr. Meissner by Monday, May 12.

STUDENTS – There are Exploring College Options, student/parent information sessions on Wednesday, May 21 at 7:30 at the Hilton Bellevue, 425-1300. This is for the following universities: Duke, Georgetown, Harvard, Penn and Stanford.
STUDENTS – There is space in Centrum’s week-long high school summer arts intensives, where you’ll be able to pursue your passions in creative writing, dance/video, visual art and drama. Sessions are designed for high-school artists at any level of expertise. It is June 22-27 and has scholarship opportunities to increase participation. STUDENTS – There is an opportunity to earn community service. There is a car wash and bake sale at Templeton’s on Saturday, May 24 from 10:00 – 2:00. STUDENTS – Sunfield Farm has a Teen SOL Project. If you are 15-18 years of age, grow and harvest food on the farm, run a Farmer’s Market stand, care for animals, and be outside! It is on Thursdays and Fridays, 9:00 – 1:00 plus two Farmer’s Market Saturdays. Session 1 is June 26-July 19 and Session 2 is July 24 - August 16. A $300 stipend is offered for completion of session.
